Hatred and Violence. Brought to you by...

Sargento and others have recently pulled their sponsorship (what took them so long?)

It doesn't surprise me that Wal-Mart would sponsor a man as disgusting as Glenn Beck. Their blind conservatism knows no boundaries.

Yeah, no surprise on Walmart, but GEICO just recently pulled sponsorship, and that's own by Warren Buffet's Berkshire Hathaway conglomerate. It surprises me that Buffett, who has been a pretty reasonable guy in politics and a supported of Obama, John Kerry and Bill Clinton, would have been advertising on Fox all this time.

I think that more negative publicity could quiet Beck's and O'Reilly's and Hannity's ass-hattery.

But, probably not.

I've had mixed feelings about holding so much BRK-A stock because of Geico's advertisement on Fox News. Perhaps I should be more ashamed for tuning in long enough to catch the Geico ads in the first place. I wouldn't count on the negative publicity hushing Beck, or any of the Fox "personalities". I wouldn't doubt it if, in some perverted way, it provokes them further.

Beck, Limbaugh and these other bottom dwellers are there to entertain, and there is no such as "bad" publicity to them. They entertain their tiny niche of listeners with whatever it takes. If a radio or TV host can garner just one-half of one percent of the population, they are enormously successful.

The more disgusted the mainstream gets with them, the higher they are hoisted on their pedestal by their minions.

As for BRK-A stock, I would hold it without any guilt... it's a stock like any other. Just watch out for the market in general.
